Why I built Psynex
The founder’s story.
Psynex didn’t start as a startup idea. It started with my own story — with my pain, and the decision I made because of it.
I was in a hard relationship. I tried my hardest to save it, to change it, to hold it together. It didn’t work. We separated. And instead of just moving on, I got stuck on one question: why can’t I build a relationship? Why is it always the same?
Doing the same thing twenty times and expecting a different result is pointless. I had to start with myself.
So I did. I went to therapy and got honest about who I really am. Then about how relationships actually work — the rules they run on, why couples fall apart. I read a lot of the research, and what stayed with me wasn’t any single study. It was the pattern across all of it — from Harvard’s decades-long work on what makes a good life to large-scale research on what actually predicts a lasting bond. It isn’t about “personalities not matching.” It’s about behavioral patterns — and you can see them and change them. (John Gottman’s work on couples was where it first clicked for me.)
I pulled together the best validated methods, studies and assessments, and built my own psychological profile. Who I am, why I react the way I do, what I bring into a relationship.
Then I met a wonderful woman — now my fiancée. I told her what I was working on, and we decided to go through it together. We applied the same approach to the two of us: to look honestly at where we fit and where we don’t. Together we mapped our strengths and our soft spots. That’s how the first version of Psynex was born — a way to see your patterns, not a score. And it worked.
It gave us something no date can: we truly saw each other. Where the tension is, where the strength is — my anxious attachment style, her avoidant one, our different emotional tempo. We understood each other more deeply than most couples do in years.
When we told friends this story over dinner one evening, they all said the same thing:
Give me that thing too. I want this.
And then came the part that mattered most. I started to look wider — and I saw the scale. Loneliness now affects one in six people on the planet, and hard, breaking-down relationships have become a quiet epidemic no one says out loud. Millions of people are building the most important thing in their lives right now — blindly, alone, by guesswork. And I understood: what helped me shouldn’t stay mine alone.
Psynex is that answer. A platform that walks you through it step by step: first understand yourself, then consciously find your person, and then keep the bond strong so it lasts for years — in love, friendship, family, and business. Not “find a match in 24 hours,” but understand yourself so you can truly hear others and build a connection that holds. It’s a skill you can learn and keep growing for life.
Whether you’re coming out of a painful breakup or just tired of building blind — start with yourself. I’m building Psynex so fewer people go through what I went through — so love isn’t luck, but something you can learn.
